RUST: Could you introduce Motion?
GROSS: Motion Computing is a mobile computing and wireless communication company, combining innovation and industry experience. The company's line of tablet PCs is designed for on-the-go users. Our latest tablet PCs pack powerful features into a highly mobile, durable design.
RUST: How was the local market grown in the past 12 months?
GROSS: Motion's local growth has experienced strong regional interests in mobile solutions that provide organisations, from small business up to major corporate and state and federal bodies, with increased productivity, associated cost savings, enhanced user performance, and service delivery.
RUST: What are your local successes?
GROSS: We are working with clients in vertical sectors including healthcare, insurance, government, field services, and construction, which want enterprise solutions customised to their specific needs. Clients include Sydney Water, Queensland Health, and Roy Morgan Research, among others.
RUST: You recently announced new slate tablet PCs. How do they fit into the product range?
GROSS: Built on the company's existing line of tablet PCs, Motion's new F5v and CFv meet the needs of mobile workforces. The rugged F5v Tablet and CF MCA now feature Intel Corei7 or Corei5v Pro technology, enabling a significant improvement in performance and also battery life over previous solutions. Tested to withstand even the harshest environments, drop-tested and fully-sealed against dust and moisture, the Motion tablet PCs are designed to withstand bumps, drops, rain, or other conditions that can damage commercial-grade computing solutions.
RUST: Where do you see Motion's future?
GROSS: As is our practice, we will continue to develop existing and new platforms to incorporate innovative technologies and functionalities which will benefit mobile workforces. Right now, we are seeing an increasing number of organisations who are aligning mobility technology with their business needs. So we anticipate a broadening of our current customer base, both here and overseas. This also means that our company is placing equal emphasis on offering a set of services to complement our tablet PCs and accessories so that we present a complete mobility solution to our customers.
